135/4 Nikkor for bellows
In may 1958 Nippon Kogaku introduced the bellows for the reflex housing, and with it a special short
mount lens for bellows use. Used in conjunction with the bellows and reflex unit, you could focus
continuously from 1:1 to infinity.
There were some 1500 units sold, an exceedingly large number, considering less than 200 bellows
units were made. Why? The lens was a hit on the reflex bellows, which could be mounted with the
adapter BR-1. Early lenses can be distinguished by the bright chrome nose, as opposed to the later
satin chrome ones.
